Favorino Enrione was born on the 21st December 1898 at Chiaverano (Torino) Italy.  In 1939, he was living at 1 Rothwell Street, London with his wife Irma and then on the 13th June 1940 he was arrested.

He and Irma Moia had married in London in 1924.  Favorino worked as a waiter.

On the 24th October 1942, Favorino was released from Tatura Camp 2A, Victoria for transfer to the UK.  He was one of six UK Italian internees who boarded the SS Desirade and was transshipped to the SS Johan Van Oldenbarnvelt which arrived in Liverpool, England on the 15th January 1943.

Favorino was re-interned on the Isle of Man.  On the 23rd April 1943, he was released to work under the ILB Scheme  (Italian Labour Battalion?).

The documents below show the paperwork trail: departed Australian on the SS Desirade and arrived on the SS Johan Van Oldenbarnvelt.
