Many watercolours and sketches were made by the internees in their Tatura Camps. It was common for the men to draw the barracks, the vegetation and other aspects of camp life.
Giorgio Scola's sketch below shows the barracks, a decorative garden bed, gums trees in the background and vines over trellises at the entry to the dormitory barracks. The backdrop of the photo following, further shows the vines and the trellis over which they grew.
In 1991, Nicola Cua and Luigi Beschizza travelled from London, England to visit Tatura, Australia. A small group of ex-internees had already donated memories and items to the Imperial War Museum in London and Nicola and Luigi brought with them, their memories and donated items to the Tatura Museum. Some of the footage taken of Nicola Cua as he walked over the site of Tatura Camp 2 can be viewed in the 2024 documentary: Churchill's Forgotten War.
