Internment interrupted Ugolino Giovine's illustrious career as Head Chef at St Ermin's Hotel, Westminster, London. Prior to internment, he had worked at the establishment from 1925 - 1940.
In February 1946, Ugolino came back to England and resumed a career he loved. The 1955 article below, Food of Love, highlighted both his dedication to his craft and the esteem he earned.
