Angelo Paolo Coli was born on the 27th February 1878 at Gallicano (Lucca) Italy.  He was 62 years old at the time of his arrest on the 10th June 1940 in Glasgow.  A grocer, Angelo and his wife Ada lived at 169 Hill Street Glasgow.  They had two sons and a daughter.

While in Loveday Camp 10, Angelo received permission to return to the UK to appear before the Italian Advisory Committee. He was transferred on the 29th June 1942 from Loveday Camp to Tatura Camp via Broadmeadows Military Camp. He arrived at Tatura Camp on the 9th July 1942 and departed on the 17th July 1942 with 16 other UK Italian internees.

The group embarked the SS Themistocles in Sydney and disembarked in Liverpool, England on the 17th October 1942. He continued his internment until the 23rd January 1943, when he was released under Category 15: Persons who had a British born or naturalised son serving in the British Navy, Army or Airforce.

Angelo died on the 6th April 1950 at his home in Glasgow.
