Dante Schiavi was ‘released on parole’ to work in forestry for the Civil Aliens Corps (CAC) on the 8th August 1944.

The document below highlights the process of release from internment. Dante proceeded to the Gladstone Palace with instructions to report to the Aliens' Section at 275 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne. On the 9th August 1944, Dante underwent a medical examination to be passed for work with the CAC, completed enrolment documentation and then given his travel instructions to proceed to Peechelba Civil Aliens Camp.
