Bartolomeo Rabaiotti was born in Bardi (Parma) Italy on the 16th March 1908. He lived with his wife Dorina, son Riccardo and daughter Rina at 19 Station Road, Llanelly, Wales. A shopkeeper, Bartolomeo was arrested in Llanelly on the 10th June 1940.
Arriving in the UK in 1924, he first worked for his father who had been in business for 40 years as a restauranteur and confectioner in Llanelly and Goisein. Bartolomeo took over a business at 19 Station Street, Llanelly in 1934.
A constant worker in the camp carpentry party, Bartolomeo was released on parole to work for the Civil Aliens Corps in forestry on the 16th May 1944.
He departed from Sydney, New South Wales onboard the SS Athlone Castle on the 6th February 1945 and disembarked at Liverpool, England as a released internee on the 29th March 1945.
At the time of his death on the 14th November 1958, Bartolomeo was living at 12 Cowell Street, Llanelly, Wales.
