Giuseppe Roscelli was born in Borgataro (Parma) Italy on the 10th January 1885. He was living at 17 Handel Street, St Pancreas, London, England when he was arrested on the 11th June 1940. 

London City Directories recorded that Giuseppe operated a confectionery shop and café at 21 Fouberts Place, London while his wife Maria was listed: Apartments at 17 Handel Street, St Pancreas.

He was listed as ‘infirm’ on his British record an indication that he did not pass his medical for employment with the Civil Aliens Corps in forestry work. 

On the 7th September 1944, Giuseppe Roscelli and Giuseppe Pelosi were released to Melbourne for employment with the Melbourne Club, an exclusive gentlemen’s club.  Giuseppe Zaninetta had started work there as a cook in June 1944 and Pietro Cabrelli would join them on the 19th September 1944.

Giuseppe boarded the SS Athlone Castle in Sydney, New South Wales on the 6th February 1945 and arrived in Liverpool, England on the 29th March 1945. The ship’s register noted his address as 189 Russell Court, Holborn.

On the 4th September 1960, Giuseppe died a La Ghena, Borgataro (Parma) Italy.
